Why are we grouped into a battalion?
We group participants into battalions in to help organize all Firefighter and auxiliary groups. The battalion groups also allow us to be able to give participants a tentative start time so Firefighters can get their equipment ready for the climb. This will help prevent Firefighters from having to stand around in their Bunker Gear for an excessive length of time.
How do I know which battalion I am in?
Battalion assignments will be posted on the http://5thalarmevents.com/ website Friday night July 16th. Members of the 5th Alarm Events team will also be present at the Firefighter BBQ prior to the Giants game on Friday night and can answer questions along with give out battalion assignments. There will be a registration booth open at the BBQ also.
