San Francisco Firefighter Stair Climb

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Participants should all plan the day for their arrival before the stated start of the event in order to catch morning announcements and safety briefing.  At a minimum each Team Captain should be present in the morning at 9:00am for the Briefing. 

Call up of first battalion will occur between 9:30 and 9:45.  The First Battalion will be lead to the start line by Bag Pipe Band.  Participants will be called up and taken to the start in Battalions which will vary in size from 20 to 40 climbers.  Once started Battalions will be called up approximately every 10 mins.

Just prior to the start line of the climb participants will be required to provide photo ID to ensure each participant has signed the event waiver form.  First Climber scheduled for 10am start.  Once the competition is started climbers will be spaced from 15 to 30 seconds apart for the duration of the event.

The Individual Climb is scheduled to be complete between 1 & 2pm, dependent upon number of participants.

The Event BBQ will open in early afternoon coinciding closely with the ending of the San Francisco Firefighter Stair Climb. 

The Awards Banquet is scheduled for 7pm at our Post Event Location across the street at the Taverna Aventine. 

We will be socializing for the rest of the evening at Taverna Aventine and on Hotaling St which will be closed until midnight for our Post Event Party.

This is expected to be a great party with many drink specials through the night. We look forward to a fantastic event and making many new friends.
